Demonstrate the required English Language skills. When applying from the GCC, IELTS is the most common English Language test, TOEFL and a few others are also accepted. However, the Australian Skilled Migration requires quite high language skills. You will need to be either Proficient or Superior in English with Proficient getting you 10 points and Superior getting a full maximum mark of 20 language points on the points based system

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect with details of your nominated occupation, matching qualifications and skills. You will be given a score by the SkillSelect and if your score is high enough, you will proceed to the next step
Wait for your chosen territory or state to nominate you and once you are nominated, they will send you out an invitation to apply for the Australian Skilled Immigration Nominated Subclass 190.
